Question about 98 Vangaurd Chev power

friend bought a new 2021 Diesal B class for mucho denaro,, the dealer didnt want this.had some water damage in frt.but only 146,000 kms..runs drives great.so i bought it and patched the frt end that fell down till i figure if we like it. its on a 98 Chev Vandura 3500 Chassis..figured it all out except this switch on the dash ,previous owner didnt know and never had owners manual.the switch is to right of steering column .

It doesn't look like a factory switch to me. Somebody might be able to trace the wires by eye without having to remove anything.

I see a lot of class C's with the overhead collapsed, what's up with that anyway?

The overhead in many Class C's is prone to water leakage , and unnoticed the leaks cause wood rot and the eventual collapse of the structure.

JMHO: The issue revolves around the cab portion of the Class C being rubber mounted to the frame and the RV body being solid mounted to the frame and the two coming together at the cab roof .
As the cab moves and the overhead doesn't; the overhead flexes weakening the seams and and setting up the start of the water leaking in .

Dash switch

If it functions like mine, it’s a momentary switch that adds the house battery to the engine battery for starting the motor home.
I guess it could function both ways if yours is a on/off switch.
The charger on mine only charges the house battery. Engine battery gets charged when it’s driven.
