Sometimes you need a slim jim type length of metal but usually, just tugging on the radio will pull it out. Unless there's rust up under the dash. Than tools will need to be used.

Armed with the model number and brand, you can look up the users guide online and the installation and removal instructions will be in that booklet.

The DIN radio cases are standardized as either a single DIN or double DIN. As such they are all built pretty much the same. The radio itself slips into the DIN case, and is held by friction, and sometimes tabs that have mating slots in the DIN.

Note you usually have to remove a plastic surround from the front of the radio to see the DIN case. Sometimes there's a button to push that releases the front of the radio.

After the front is off, then prying and tugging on the radio assembly sticking out of the DIN case is generally all you need do. Once that's out, then you go to work verifying whether or not you need to replace a part or all of that case.

look in youtube for radio removal. Don't get all hung up on it being for a motorhome, just search under "in dash radio removal". Most of them slide right out with some clips that you slip in the end of the case. Very simple.

Ford chassis I assume? If this is a class C then look. There will besmall holes , 2 on each side of the face plate. It requires 4 small pins pushed into each hole to release the latch. Then the radio simply slips out. I think GM used a similar latching setup. Pulling on things first will only do damage to the dash.

I’ve replaced the Jensen dash radio/Nav in my 2015 Ford Forester. I assume you have an aftermarket stereo as well? If so the quick release tools won’t work it’s bolted in. I’ve removed the dash, it pops off easily but to remote it completely involves dropping the steering wheel, remove the two front bolts and loosen the back two. And carefully remove all the heater controls and connections. Have to say it was a little tricky getting to all the connections.

As a thought if there is an RV dealer Repair in your area you might take the RV there and ask them to remove the radio.

Here's a YouTube video replacing the radio in a 450 chassis. Maybe it can give you some ideas...

My 2010 E450 Fleetwood has a double DIN Magnadyne that has the 2 holes on each side. I made 2 removal tools using bailing wire in a U shape that I could insert on both sides at the same time to push in the retaining clips, then I pulled on them and it came right out.
