Replacement toilet seat

Hi,
My Thetford plastic pot came with of course a plastic seat and lid. I’m afraid to sit on top of the seat with the lid down as it being plastic, it feels like it’s not really designed to sit on. Tried installing a wood seat/lid from Lowe’s, but the fit was incorrect. Called RV parts/sales shop here and they said I’d probably have to go to Thetford.

Has anyone had any luck finding a wood made seat/lid to fit? If so, can you tell me what brand? Thanks!

Just me, or my backside to be more accurate and attempt humor, wood seats are cold while plastic is usually not.

Should be able to get a plastic lid that is strong enough to sit on.

My better half says the Thetford seat is uncomfortable so I'm looking as well.

I went top Walmart when my toilet seat broke. They had a ton of them and so does Lowes.

I suggest you contact PPL in Houston. That's what I did when mine broke.
