Reviews of Qwest 24L

I have always owned a 36' Winnebago Vectra. We are now downsizing and I'm interested in the Qwest 24L because of the large slide and living area. Can anyone familiar with class C's give me a review of the Entegra motorhomes? I'd stick with the Winnebago class C's but I don't like the layout as much. Any reviews/suggestions would be much appreciated.

We just took delivery of ours on Thursday (our first RV), and went to a local campground this weekend for a shakedown cruise. We like the layout, amenities and the way it drives. It has great room in the living area that we really appreciated. Seats are very comfortable, and we like the ability to use the two automotive seats in the living area.

We noted some construction related issues. These included a larger than 1/8" gap between the side of the bathroom window and the wall. There is also something sharp, nail popping up perhaps, in the middle of the floor in the kitchen area. A few other nits as well, but we understand those things are not uncommon in new RVs, and expect that they will be fixed under warranty.

In our maiden voyage, we had two slide issues. There is a wiring bundle that is getting wedged under the slide as it extends fully. In addition, apparently the propane line to the heater was getting crimped with the slide fully extended. The heater worked when the slide was partially retracted, but not when fully extended. Based on feedback from the forum, we turned off the propane because we didn't want to risk a hose leak from getting crimped.

We're planning some long western trips next spring/summer without a toad, and felt the compact size would be good for that.

Good luck in your hunt!

Question

Were you able to get your issues resolved at the dealer? If so have you experienced any other notable issues on your qwest? We are considering buying one soon.

Thanks

Most of the issues were dealer related. They fixed most, waiting for parts for 2 items. It's been in winter storage and we haven't had it out yet. Be sure to check out the Isata 3 also. We were able to find some for nearly the same price, and they have some features like solar, that are not on the quest. Of course you need to look at what features are important to you in making your decision.
