Roadside Assistance ineligibility issue

I just bought a used class C and have to drive it 1600 miles home. It is used and I don't know the history. I will take half a day to have it inspected before hitting the road but wanted to get Roadside Assistance. I knew there could be a possibility of me not being eligible so I decided to call and find out before I purchased. The issue is the fact that I own a small used car dealership. This would be my personal MH and not be one for sale on the lot(I only sell cars)..... but since I own the dealer I will be running to pick it up on a Dealer Plate and it will be covered with my dealership insurance. The insurance covers all vehicles the dealer and/or I own. The saleslady on the phone wanted to sell it to me and was getting confused....she kept saying that it is my personal vehicle but when I mentioned the dealer plate and driving with title in hand she did not know if they would cover any issues I had on the way home.
Any possibility of someone else going through something like this? What doe they actually need when you need to call in a tow or tire repair? Do they take down your plate number or need to see your registration?

I think you are volunteering too much info. It should not be an issue for Coach-Net and alsikely Good Sam.

I forgot to add that it was Good Sam that I called. I really was trying to find out what info they look for when you are actually using the service. If they want to write down a license plate or see a registration then it won't work since there is no registration and I will be using a dealer plate. If all they do is take down your name, address and Good Sam info...then it would work.

Can anyone explain what they experienced with a past claim.

I have road assistance with my GEICO policy. When I called GEICO for road assistance for a tire change, they didn't ask anything but the address where I was. They came changed the tire, ask me to sign the paper that the service was done. They left. NP

The Coach Net Premier plan ($249/year) covers anything you happen to be driving, regardless of ownership.

From their site:

"Coverage includes Member, spouse and dependent children ages 24 and under, and all other personal vehicles owned, rented, borrowed or leased."

I also think you may be overcomplicating this by asking too many questions or providing them with info they do not need. When I have used AAA for a flatbed tow, they only wanted my info and card number, and where I was. They could have cared less what car I was driving, it could have been anyone's.

Thanks for the replies. Good Sam has a platinum version as well. It also covers vehicles that I lease, rent or borrow. If there is ever an issue I guess that I will be stating that I am borrowing it from my dealership.
I was able to buy online and not talk to anyone.....$104 for a year.

Now hopefully my trip tomorrow from Salt Lake City to Michigan goes down without a issue.

Good Sam Roadside Assistance is not much coverage at all. As we discovered when we needed to use them. They don't provide you any real information to help understand exactly what they are going to pay for and what you will pay for. Basically all they pay is a trip fee for someone to come to you - no labor paid at all - that's all on you. So if you have a flat tire, like we did, $87 out of our pocket for the repair. And to top it off, when you question it, they get rude. They said "the labor .... the labor..." like we were idiots. We're looking for a plan that actually covers repairing the tire - anybody have a plan that covers that ? We're not talking replacing the tire, but if you've got a flat.

They, to my knowledge, they pay for swapping on your mounted spare. If they repair your tire - there is a charge. If they install your unmounted spare - there is a charge. If they provide a tire - the tire and it's installation on your wheel is a charge.

I made it back. I actually had to call the Good Sam Roadside Assistance.
I made my purchase online and it told me it would be a few days before I would receive my membership. I picked up my MH in Utah and drove it only 40 minutes before it got dark and we parked it at a Walmart in Park City. I did not use the generator that night and the furnace was using the house battery for the fan all night. In the morning I went to start the generator and it would not start...low battery. I then when to start the vehicle and all I got was a click. I went into Walmart for a Jump Start Pack. That was until I read they needed to charge initially for 36 hours. I then decided to call Good Sam. They looked up my membership and said they would send someone out. I was notified by text it would be 1.25 hours. Checked my phone for the temp and it was minus 11 degrees. The MH next to me had the same issue and said he put heat on his starter solenoid and after 15 minutes got it to start.
Before the Roadside Assistance came I was able to get both the generator and the main engine running. They arrived right at the same time I called to cancel. I thought they would be mad for not being able to get paid for the trip. No issues and all was good.
