schwintek slide out motors

are the same Schwintek motors used regardless of slide out size? I read somewhere that they are the same. if so the full slide are much more heavier so possible motor to motor failure.failure

From what I understand there are two ratios for the motors; 500:1 and 300:1. The 500:1 motors are probably for the heavier slides.

There are 4 different motors that have been used on the Lippert Swintek system, two of which are still available.

The two current Lippert Motors are:

287298 High Torque 500:1
236575 300:1

There are also less expensive 3rd party motors available on Amazon.com Lippert has an Amazon.com store and sells the two motors direct thru Amazon as well.

I just had a motor failure on my small slide, it was only 1 year and 10 months old.

I hired a person that does repair at my house so I would not need to leave it for weeks at a repair shop, he says he replaces around 2 of these motors every week, he said if he only did these motors it would be guarantee money every week that pays his bills and only work 2 days a week.

I did however watch him replace the motor and now I think I can do the next one when it fails.

I’ve replaced a couple in my rig as well but in both cases the actual motor still worked, the $1 Hall effect sensors on the little circuit board failed.
