Screen Door Hinge Jayco Grey Hawk 29MV

I need some help. (Place eye roll here... Yes, AGAIN)
Our 2016 Jayco Grey Hawk 29 MV has a screen door problem. The lowest hinge broke, we called and ordered 2 of them (they were cheap..lol). Yesterday I tried to remove the broken one. Three screws on the face plate, simple, but the other piece is on the the door column and it appears you should be able to pry it off the column, as it is slotted. I was afraid to use too much force, afraid to bend the door length column. So later in the evening, I open the screen only to have the middle hinge break. I have gone to the Jayco on-line Forum and while there was plenty of discussions about this problem, it was never made crystal clear how to get that part of the hinge, off the column. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
