Shower Switch

I have a 2003 Coachmen Leprechaun 279DS and have a on/off switch on the shower entry door and don't have a clue what it is for. Any ideas?

As long as we're guessing, could it be the hot water heater gas on switch?

Fan or water pump most likely.

If you turn the switch on what happens?

If he knew what it did or what happens he would not have a question. Most likely light or fan switch. Most smaller RVs have the secondary pump switch at the kitchen or bathroom sink if equipped. Not many showers have a fan if not a sink toilet shower combo.

On ours, there's a light switch, turns on light. Just below that switch is another switch, turns on water pump, also has green light on switch so you can tell if on or not. Turn you water pump off where ever that switch is, run some water to lose pressure, turn on switch in bathroom and see if water pump runs. That will let you know for sure if it is a 2nd water pump switch or not.

Disconnect from city water if you are on city water.
Turn off the water pump.
Turn on a faucet until the pressure goes down a bit.
Toggle this switch .... does the water pump come on ?

no

on to step two
Do you have a light or fan that does not come on with another switch ( could be a burned out light or fan )

no

Turn everything in the bathroom off ( may need a flashlight ) and toggle the switch anything come on ?

no

pull the switch and see if everything is connected.

yes

Find a forum for your particular brand maybe.

edit: If wires run up or down from switch may tell you something.
edit2: Could be a second water pump switch that is bad .....
How many connectors on the switch may tell you something ( mine is a three way switch SPDT three connector with no light )
