Snow on the Roof

Here is the dilemma. Up north and we can’t leave for another month. We have about 6 inches of snow on the roof. Should we leave it alone? Remove it as best we can staying off the roof? Just climb up there and sweep it off? Will it cause issues by melting rapidly? Thanks!

Leave it. It will take care of itself when you hit the road..

In some states it is against the law to have snow on the roof while driving. Just think what would happen if a large slab of frozen snow was to come off while you are doing 60 mph. I sure would not like to be behind you.

Here is an interesting article:

Do you have access to a leaf blower and a ladder?

whatever you decide to do, DON'T go up on the roof, there is a good chance there might be some ice under the snow creating a very dangerous situation

IMHO....
The BIG question is when was your roof last maintained and re-caulked?
If recently, or new coach...no sweat..if more than several years...I would at least sweep/brush it off before it melts & re-freezes...
