Stuck HWH slide
We have a 2007 Coach House 272XL with HWH slides. I started opening the front slide today and it traveled a couple inches and became crooked and is now binding against the body front and rear of the slide. The rear of the slide is extended perhaps 1 - 2 inches. It will not mode in or out. The rear slide is working normally.
Any ideas:
1) what happened to cause this?
2) How might it get it unstuck?
If needed I can drive it as is to an RV shop.

I'd imagine there is a procedure for manually pulling in the slides. See if you can locate it it in the manual.
After reading the manual for my Kwikee system, retracting is done at each end via crank handles. The procedure sounds pretty straightforward but I haven't ever had to use it. If yours is similar, then you can probably get on the end sticking out furthest and retract it manually to get the slide back even.

The pump is running as is the slide is physically stuck. I need to get it freed so it can be moved.

That's why I mentioned that either side can be moved manually by hand cranking on ours. Yours uses a pump so I doubt there's any cranking involved but I'd bet there is a procedure to manually get the slide retracted. My thinking now is that the procedure involves opening valve(s) to relieve hydraulic pressure and if so, won't do a whole lot if the slide is stuck.
Have you tried getting another person to push on, maybe bump with their shoulder, the stuck corner at the same time you're pressing the button?

It is illegal/ unsafe to drive without wide load signage, escorts, permits and you cannot see properly; find and fix yourself or call a Mobile RV Tech

What???
The extension is barely 2 inches, much less than the mirror s extend out. I can still see around the slide just fine. I'll be taking it into our local RV shop sone enough.

My Itasca Horizon DP had HWH slides, hydraulic. I had a shuttle valve failure with the slide about halfway out. It requires relieving the pressure on the pump manifold for that slide, and then a socket and ratchet to crank the slide in. As I recall the crank points are under the slide near the corner. Been a few years and no longer have the DP. I was able to talk to a CS at HWH when I had the failure but I've read they are slower to respond now.

My 2000 Winnebago has a winch with a strap that you use to manually retract the slide after releasing the pressure.
I saw a 5th wheel going down the interstate with the top bedroom slide open all the way. I don't know if he forgot it and didn't see it in the mirror or if he was having problems with it. If it was problem he was traveling the wrong way to the closest dealer that I know of.
