Any input would be helpful.

Hi kismet, it is not your imagination. We have the 26 ft model. It took us about 2? Years to decide upon and find ours. We visited the factory in Indiana to see how they were built. This was back before the company was owned by Forest River. These are kinda a niche size. Most folks don't want to have to make up a sofa bed every night but we don't travel for weeks and weeks at a time and we have not found it to be an issue to loving the rig. We would find a used one for sale, and by the time we would find and call, It would be sold. Hubby and son had to fly to n. Carolina from Chicago to find ours and drive it home!

If/when we travel more, we like the 302. We are fortunate to have a dealer about 3 hours from us and we have used them for some routine maintenance /fridge recalls and if we should ever want to move up we will try to work with them next time. Hoping that the quality of the units are maintained, I don't care about fancy interiors, I just want a nice reliable coach. And 'Shorty' has been just that.

Here in Michigan the Holland Coach Company in Holland Michigan usually has quite a few on their lot. Also they are build by Dyna Corp in Elkart Ind. Nice but very expensive. Been my dream for yrs but settled for a super nova by gulf stream but they quit making them. Also you may try Nexus for their super c model. Good luck

Bucksmom,

If you don't mind, my I inquire about what kind of MPGs your are seeing with Shorty? These units intrigue me but not quite Shorty's length. We would be looking at one just big enough to get a full-time bed. Thanks!

Hi porch racer that is the dealership we use. So far very happy with them.

We get between 10-13 mpg going a fast as we can. My husband has a lead foot IMHO. The unit is made for cruising! Not pulling anything yet.

Which engine do you have? I assume it is the M2 chassis. I am lucky to get 9 MPG.
