Surge Protector

Buying 2020 Tiffin Wayfarer LW. Seller says I do not need a surge protector, as the coach has automatic surge protection. True or false?
Thank you

False. It depends if Tiffin used the same transfer switch that it uses on larger units. That unit has some surge protection but it is limited. What you really want to protect your coach is what is known as an EMS unit. EMS protects you from over/under voltage, mis-wired pedestals, and surges. Progressive Industries would be the units I would recommend.

Get is as soon as you are able. It is a must for me. You never know what power issues you can find in any given campground.

It can be that he has a hard-wired surge protector installed in the wiring inside the coach. Search/ locate?
