This is my opinion so ...
I think overall the quality of the Jayco was better. Cupboards and wardrobes better built with real wood doors, walls and wall covering looked better and bathroom was stainless not plastic. Storage compartments were better constructed of one piece molded plastic and had slam latch handles. The area under the floor and chassis looked less cluttered and cleaner. The theater seats appeared to be better quality and the entrance step and handrail was better placed.

I plan to go back when time permits to look in more depth plus we want to be able to compare the Jayco Greyhawk to the Entegra Esteem, itís sister.

We still have lots of research to do.

Hey Mr Ted, I reread the post I made to you earlier and it came across snarky! That was not my intention and I apologize for it.

So here's a question. Let's say I found an "acceptable" Class C. Looking at the Nexus Triumph 30T. But it only has a single bowl kitchen sink. Is this something that the dealer can typically change out, or are the sizes too custom for the given counter? If it wasn't for it being an under-mount sink, I'd just cut the hole bigger and plop my own sink in. But with the under-counter mounted sink, you have the counter edging to deal with if you need to re-cut the hole.

If there is nothing in the space ie. drawers or cabinet sides I would think that a counter top company could install a double SS sink.

I wouldnít trust a dealer, at least not mine to do that type of custom work.

Hi Funengineer, Earlier when you said:

“One thing that I was not impressed with was the amount of spray foam the Forester had under the floor around the wheel wells. Why did they do this and why is it so ugly. Seems like a great way to trap water, salt and dirt.”

I’m curious if you asked the salesman about that? Id like to know if all Foresters look like that or is this an anomaly?

Sent you a PM Harry. I did not ask the salesman he was being rude. Wonít be purchasing from him. Will ask a new sales person next time I visit the dealership.

Hi Guys,

As I've said earlier, my coaches of interest are the Concord, Esteem and Forester. You will see that the Concord information is blank and that's because they are redesigning it.

I wanted a quick sheet showing the three coaches I'm interested in and thought it may interest you as well.

I would wait for the new Coachmen Concord to come out, hands down better built then the forester, Coachmen by far cares more in the after market or warranty then anyone IMO. the Concord is there top line class C , I donít know why they stopped production but now they know they made a mistake, they are bringing back a new design. Not much is going to change through per Coachmen, a different stove and a few minor things.

Hey gljurczyk, Do you know that for sure? I ask because the Coachmen Rep told me you can no longer order a Concords because they are completely redesigning it. He told me Iíd find more about it on the Concord site in December and the new 2022ís will be out in spring.

From what youíve said itís a simple model change of the 300DS and 300TS. Are you sure of that?

You also said ďwould wait for the new Coachmen Concord to come out, hands down better built then the forester,Ē. Are you saying that from personal experience?

Thanks for your post

Any users have any insight?

I need to correct my statement here. We looked at the Sunseeker not a Forester. Both are made by Forest River however and have identical layouts and construction.
Sorry for any confusion but wanted to correct this for those like us that are fine tuning our research into the perfect Class-C.

Do either of you know if the new Concord will be taller which might offer better exterior storage?

Another question; is the current Concord really built that much better than say the Coachman Leprechaun? From what Iíve seen the Forest River, Jayco and Entegra products are higher quality builds than Coachman. My opinion, yours may be different and Iíd appreciate hearing why.

Hi! I loved the Concord and asked Coachman why they didn't use a televator set-up like they do in their Lep's? The answer was due to the curved walls on the Concord, the televator would not work; the TV would raise and hit the side of the wall??!! I think it should be a do-able fix. Plus, the Concord has no microwave? At least give me a convection oven. The shower is tiny like in the Lep's too. I would like to see a video where a salesperson actually turned 360 in the shower instead of just sideways with their arms angled on their hips. Not a true image of the shower room. In the meanwhile, I'm still looking.....

Hi CamperQueen1, Here’s what Coachmen told me.

“The Concord is staying around but it is being totally redesigned and should start landing at dealerships in early spring 2021. Both floor plans that are currently offered will no longer be available going forward. Unfortunately that’s about all I can share with you about the New Concord at this point.”

What did you think of the overall build quality? Did the Basement look well put together and the interior was all good? Which one did you like best?

I wasn't impressed by the Forester we rented last year . I was up to midnight , the night before we left on vacation , fabricating 3 longer lock tabs for the external storage hatches locks that had too short of tabs to even engage the body & not one would lock as a result . Why did they even bother to put locks on that were so obviously worthless ! They were 1/2 " too short ! ( or the lock holes in the hatches were 1/2 " off - or hatch to body gap too wide ; either way - useless & pathetic - no Q.C. ! )
