Thetford Toilet Seat Replacement

Hey, has anyone found a decent upgrade for the flimsy plastic stock toilet seat that comes with the Thetford Aqua-Magic Style II round porcelain toilet? Looking for something like a slow-close enameled wood seat. Wife just doesn't like the stock seat cover at all. I have found some candidates based on measurements but thought I would check to see if anyone has a recommendation that worked for them. Thanks.

Take the OEM seat down to Home Depot/Lowes and find one that matches up in size/hinge bolt off set

Be aware that the Aqua Magic Style II seems to be a little wide across the rear of the seat. Some seats, such as the one I recommend below, can slip to one side if not installed on-center or if pushed side-to-side.

I bought the American Standard 5055B.60CH. It's a slow-close unit. It's not a lot sturdier than the Thetford (I've bought both, to replace a non-slow-close Bemis that came with the coach when I bought it). Spec is here. I like the way the American Standard lifts off for cleaning.

Thetford Aqua Magic Style II seat replacement. I phoned Bath Royale, and after speaking with Mark Hillman, President of Bath Royale, he directed me towards the BR500-02 seat. I received it, and installation was easy with the top-mount hardware he suggested. Great fit, color match is nearly perfect, solid, slow close, and will be much easier to clean. I would highly recommend Mark and Bath Royale.
