This is strange

I have a 2017 Coachmen Freelander Micro. Every once in a while, when the furnace ignites after the blower motor is on, there is a brief flash in the ceiling LED light. No, I don't drink or take drugs. The only time you can really see this is at night. The flash lasts maybe a second. I don't know if this is just some sort of power surge or if I have an electrical short and need to start drinking. I will be contacting Coachmen (Forest River). If anybody can shed light on this I would really appreciate it. (no pun intended)

I believe you are experiencing a bad LED bulb that simply needs to be replaced.

The igniter and your led bulb are on the same 12v circuit! Actually, everything operating on 12volts is on the same circuit! (edited) But, The igniter will momentarily "suck" amps out of the circuit to cause a spark (or activate a glow plug , depending on furnace model), for purposes of igniting the gas mixture at the venturi assembly. IT IS NORMAL! Hope this helps. In my younger years, my business was supplying propane and repairing furnaces, etc....

Ignitor for furnace are NOT on same circuit as lighting....same DC Dist but separate Fused circuit
Ignitor uses High Voltage .......12V DC to transformer on furnace circuit bd sends 2000V to spark electrode which 'fires' several times to ignite the propane fuel
12V DC side would not be affected by high voltage output side


Bad LED...........


Otherwise it would affect other lighting as well
