Question Thor Chateau Super C vs Dyna max Isata 5 Super C

Ok, so I am looking at a Super C as my 1st MH and have narrowed it down to these 2.

They are both in roughly the same range price, but the Isata has what appears to be a significant edge over the Thor in some standard features. Things such as ...

Fiberglass roof vs TPO
Dual 15k a/c with heat pump vs Dual 13.5 without
2" sidewalls w/azdel vs 1.5" luan
2000 watt inverter vs 1800
60k btu on demand water heater vs unknown btu
42k btu furnace vs 30k
Macerating toilet vs not
Exterior tank monitor panel
Bed LED reading lights
2 year vs 1 year house manufacturer warranty

FACTORY OPTIONS NOT OFFERED BY THOR
4-Wheel Drive
8k Generator
2 100 watt roof mounted solar panel with controller
Wineguard in-motion satellite

Problem is that I am a Ford guy and love the look forward the Thors. And unfortunately I have been reading of a lot of QC problems with the Thors.

The Thor does have an option that we would get that the Dynamax does not have. 50" TV entertainment center in place if the bunk in the Cab Over.

Is there any hope for my Blue Oval truck? Any thoughts or have I just laid out the reasons for a blasphemous purchase of a Ram product?

***P.S. Wife hates the plastic shower curtain that is used for the shower, and a cheap accordion style "door" used to separate the bunks from the master bed area. Seems pretty have assed considering the thought put elsewhere.

6point,
Before you can expect quality answers, we need a lot more info, such as;
Buying new or used ?
If used, how far back are you willing to go ?
Need slides ?
If so how many ?
Driving a lot or camping a lot ? It makes a big difference.
Prefer gas or diesel ? Diesel fuel costs more $$$, but pulls better.
Pulling a toad or trailer ?
What is your budget ? A couple of years back makes a BIG difference in price.

Add a Jayco Seneca to your comparison chart. Especially the older ones with a Duramax LBZ in it. Sits on a Kodiak C5500 chassis.

Sorry, but I typed all that on my phone and was getting tired of the little screen.

-I'll be buying the unit new
-The more slides the better as am I trying to maximize floor space
-We'll be going out for short distance extended weekend trips every other weekend, and 2 2 week trips a year
-We also need a diesel with 10k towing capability as we will have our vehicle and extra gear in an enclosed trailer.

DW wants a residential fridge so anything like the Seneca that doesn't have one is no go.

Our price we want to be at is no more than 140k, that's how I began looking at the baby Super C's.

We're moving up from a Keystone Alpine 3600RS, that we towed with an F350.

Thanks for any advice.

I think the Dynamax is superior to to the Thor but if your priorities lie with the chassis, then I think you may have made your decision. Isn't the Ram rated at more hp and torque than the Ford in the Super Cs? I think there was some issues with CCC that you should check into on the Dynamax also. On the other hand, the Thor has that nifty 'Rapid Camp' option.

I just got the 2018 Thor info with the changes that have been made to it from Thor. The 2018 is on the 2017 (newest body style) F550 frame and engine. HP is up to 330 with 750 lb-ft torque.

I'll try to attach the file with the changes.

I guess this whole post is really asking everyone's opinion as to whether the Dynamax is indeed built better, and worth going with the Ram. Or should I go with the Ford that I know and love and just deal with the issues that will eventually come up as just par for the "RV Ownership" course?

I too was very interested in the thor super c diesel ford but after doing a ton of research on the full wall slide on the model we liked,I was very concerned about the slide having problems operating with the in wall slide system they use.I did not buy the Thor.

Would you be interested in a 2008 Host on a Ford F550 4x4 crew cab? There's one at beavercoachsales.com. I believe Host makes quality coach.
