major update
If your overhead shade breaks, falls down, refuse to work?
THROW IT AWAY
Not even the factory has parts to fix these things. actually, there is no "fixing" the overhead shade. The entire assembly must be replaced, AND THEY DON'T HAVE ANY, Period.
Now, on the plus side. The VERY NICE mechanics at #thormotorcoach , in Wakarusa, were wonderful. He (Lane) fixed everything else, plus some.

He was understanding, compassionate and got everything else done in one day. Actually took the coach in at about 7:30 AM-ish, and was done around 2:30ish. He fixed our dinning room slide ( the big one ), our water heater and a warped cabinet door.

The factory **forgot** to install a 'bulb gasket' on the front slide. this gasket protects the control wire that goes from the motor to the control. when its not there, the slide will eventually pinch the control wire, and guess what, it shorts the motor and control. He fixed that for us.
When talking to him in the morning about the issues we needed fixed, he rolled his eyes alot.
When he returned the coach to us, he explained what he did. Of all the people we communicated with #thormotorcoach, he was definitely the most understanding. Even he was questioning why they scheduled anyone for appointments on Jan 2nd, the parts dept was essentially closed? but he did get stuff done.

In conclusion, if your overhead shade take a dive, open the door, walk it to a dumpster, and chuck-it in.
and if anyone does find someone that can fix these things, let the world know, that person will be a very busy.
p.s.: while they are working on your coach, run up to the RV & MH Hall of Fame and Museum. There are some truly classic and very cool RV's in there
