I have a Thor class C on a Sprinter chassis and would never buy another Thor product. They have poor quality control. Every time I work on the RV I find more instances of poor workmanship. The first sign of suspect workmanship was the debris left everywhere from the assembly process. sawdust, hole saw plugs, loose screws jamming the slide roller etc..
These are all things that a little extra attention during assembly would have prevented.
Just a few examples - Door lock is mounted crooked. Slide failed because the T-brackets for the cafe seat anchors were installed wrong and binding. The freshwater tank pick-up line was drilled a third the way up the freshwater tank, meaning only 20 gallons on a 30 gallon tank was available. EVERY 120 VAC outlet had some deficiency. A/C plenum was not installed properly. A/C connection to ducts was totally destroyed (Styrofoam crushed and missing). Many 120V wires had nicked conductors from being stripped wrong including the main power cord. All the Styrofoam insulation panels above ceiling were broken, not cut to size, meaning there are huge gaps next to every roof strut. Speaking of roof structure, they cut through one side of the square roof support when installing an A/C vent. Every storage compartment light had the wiring stretched tight, all of the crimp connections were exposed to the weather and corroded off. There was a 1" gap between the chassis cab floor and the house floor. The power to the air conditioner was run through a roof strut with no protective bushing. The 120V line for the fridge was pulled taut against a bracket and eventually shorted. The plumbing for the water heater was installed crooked, meaning the drawer under the cafe seat was skewed. The water pump had hard PVC lines directly into the pump with elbows at the connection (should be flexible lines and no elbows for a foot). The vibration isolation pads for the water pump were screwed through, making them useless. Heater ducts kinked close because they were too long, or strapped up wrong.

I recommend looking for an older high end unit. I have owned a Dynamax and our current coach. The Dynamax was fairly well made but when you got into the electrical system it was a rats nest.
Items on my checklist:
1. Service records, did the previous owner take care of it
2. Cabinets, are they solid wood with dovetail drawers or compressed wood with plastic wood wrap (long term disaster)
3. Any sign of roof leaks, get up on the roof and look for condition
4. Stay away from rigs that have been lived in full time, also shy away from units that are never used
5. Take a long test drive on as many road types as possible, some super C models on class 5 chassis ride like bucking broncos, especially models with short wheel bases and long rear overhangs
6. If you're not comfortable assessing all the systems take it to a reputable repair shop and have it checked before signing any contract
7. Good brands: Haulmark, Renegade, Optima, Showhauler, Pony Express and others

We love our Renegade Veracruz. It is well constructed and we have had very few minor issues.

We traded our '07 Jayco Seneca 33ss for an '04 PA 37c class "A" due to the excessive wind noise at anything over 50MPH. I did extensive noise deadening in the cab, doors, doghouse, firewall, floor etc. with a barely noticeable reduction in wind noise that came from the square sides of the "house" right behind the truck's cab. The Duramax LBZ was great, and she could pull an 8K# enclosed car hauler with ease, but the wind noise was awful.
Now with just a bit of insulation for the doghouse in the PA, we can wisper to each other at 65MPH.
Make sure that whatever super "C" you look at gets a good high-speed run, preferably in a good cross wind to check for noise. We did not and came to regret not doing so.

I agree!
But that is one of two key areas of excessive wind noise. The other is the upper bunk hanging over the windshield. So much air is compressed and accelerates to get around the windshield. A class B+ with the aerodynamic cab reduces that wind noise immensely.
So, ideally, you would have something shaped like this. The angled transition walls not only reduces wind noise, but when a slide-out is present, it is forced more rearward, away from the driver or passenger seat for unobstructed seat adjustment.
