Thor Super C or Nexus Super C
I'd like to hear any comments/advice regarding Thor vs Nexus Super Cs for fulltiming. We hope to make our purchase this spring.

I have a '14 Thor 33SW. Lots and lots of quality control problems in the first 6 months were finally sorted out by the factory.
That said, I'm now quite happy. The rig is very comfortable to drive and live in. Lots of power. Great fuel economy...10-12.5 mph depending on wind, terrain and towing or not.
Hard to beat for the price IMO. I think, tho, I'd go for the 35 if I were starting over.

We had a 2015 Thor 33sw, had a ton of issues and it spent a lot of time at the factory. We ended up trading it in this April for a Dynamax Force, which we absolutely love.
I know a few people with the Thor that have had no issues and love the coach as well. I think sometimes there are just lemons in the bunch, we were unlucky with the Thor, but really liked how it drove and the layout.
Good luck.

Just got back from the NeXus factor last month. Tomorrow I am wiring money for the Bentley. I have been real impressed with them through the whole process of ordering my coach. I also have gotten on the owner email list. They are having a rally at Nexus this week. I have a thor Palazzo and have nothing but trouble and Thor does not stand buy what they make.

I'm seriously thinking of just basically "dumping" my 2015 Thor as a trade in for a class c. My Thor may have been what others consider an entry level purchase but I regress.

The price point between the FourWinds/Chateau Super C's vs. the Nexus Super C (i.e. the Ghost) is an easy compario...there is really no way to compare them.
Nexis builds only a small fraction of the RV's built by FourWinds/Chateau (let alone all models from TMC), Nexus sells factory direct (little chance to look before you buy) and the Navistar Cab/Chassis would have a greatly different maint. experience from the very common and accessible Ford F550 used in the Thor models.
It's really all in what the buyer wants, because the difference in price and availability makes these RV's very different despite having near identical capacities on the cab/chassis.
Best luck

Not even close, forget Thor....if your not ready for Renegade or Showhauler, Nexus is a good second choice....

 That's Great
Suggest no one should discount the #1 Best selling RV maker in North America.
And Nexus are nice but like all makers...there are problems.

Finally, a Class 8 truck compared to a Super C? I don't see how there is much in common - especially price to acquire and maintain.
Thanks for the chuckle

Number one or not Thor has had more QC issues as of late, the number one status means nothing except maybe they blow out so many units per year that they care more about numbers than quality....Also who does the ranking? It's marketing nonsense....As far as comparing the Ghost to the Renegade, If I had the skill to make a kids puzzle game , you know , One Of These Things Is not like the other ....I would....When people begin to consider and get interested in MD conversion part of Due Diligence is also to consider a HD ....normaly a person who was aware and interested in something like the Ghost, would also investigate the HD, I looked at both, and for the money went with the class 8 made by Silver Crown....

Our Thor rocks!
We own a 2014 Thor Four Winds 33SW. Very user friendly and no major issues. We've traveled over 13K miles in our 18 months and visited 22 states. Getting about 10-12 mpg with no tow and 9-11 pulling a 24 foot fully enclosed trailer. Well worth considering in our opinion. Good luck

#1 Best Selling means they sold more motorhomes than any other maker. Pretty simple.
And the #1 Best Selling Class A is the ACE. Nice RV's, by the way.
Quality is another discussion. Thor sells more RV's, so even with the exact same % of problems as another builder the number would also grow.
And, they ALL have problems. Like, we were neighbors to a brand new ShowHauler in Jackson WY last spring and he was telling me about fit and finish issues after 2 months on the road
I could only smile since he was so very interested in our, then 7 year old Class A toy hauler - with no problems. Of course, the Outlaw always draws attension with the big ol' garage in the back .
Finally...those Class 8 truck conversions are BEAUTIFUL! And no Super C can hope to compete.
So - apples to apples (similar GVWR and GCWR) I submit the FourWinds and Chateau Super C's offers a whole lot for a major price point advantage.
Safe travels
