Tire pressure monitors

Has anyone used add-on tire pressure monitors, the type that screw on the valve stem. I would like to hear any comments and recommended makes of TPM.

I use TST color on our tag Axel. Works fine and signal is strong enough that I don't need a repeater. I don't bother with locking them on. Not too worried about theft.

I use EZZ also. I don't mess with the anti-theft device and took them off. Just used the standard sensors, no need for the flow-through type IMO.

...have used the TST system for a number of years--no issues....older flow-thru sensors were slow to fill and lower pressure....matching valve stems, extenders, and wheel donut supports can be a challenge.....internal ban sensors are probably more accurate but have their own set of issues, eg, access to replace/repair....

I have used the TST system for several years with no issues. Last year I upgraded to the color system with flow thru sensors. No issues with either system.

I use the EEZ system. My rig originally had the flow-through type sensors but I switched them out for the security type. Not worried about theft so much but the flow-through style stick out quite a bit and they add another potential leakage point.
I like the system over all. I've had no problems.

I've had my EEZ system for a few months. So far, I love it.

I have a small Toyota RV and use the cheap solar TPMS systems with external sensors on the rear duallys only. The systems are not NASA accurate but never fail to report a low tire.

The systems last about 2 years, but at $30, no big deal. Brand name does not seem to mean much.

I installed the Tymate TPMS from Amazon. Really pleased with it. Much cheaper than the TST systems, and lets me know everything I need to know; includes low pressure, temperature, and fast leak warnings.

First thing first I strongly suggest you first put on steel valve stems. This is a must otherwise the toms system you buy will start leaking air. The rubber cable stems will not last very long. Then the TPMS system I use is the Eezrv. I have used there customer service and they are to notch in helping you out.

+1 on the Tymate. I’ve got them on my new travel trailer and the seem to work great. They’re even on sale right now on Amazon much cheaper than I got them for
