Trailer brake controller connector location?

I have a Class C built on a 2015 E-450 chassis. There's a 7 pin connector back on the hitch that I know works because I'm using it for the toad lights and battery feed.

There's supposed to be an electrical connector behind the dash somewhere for a trailer brake controller. I want to know where it is because I may want to pull a trailer in the future.

But I'll be damned if I can find the connector. I looked a few times under the dash, I looked behind the coin holder, and I just don't see it.

Can anyone give me a clue exactly where to look?

I pulled the bottom right panel and up toward the coin holder is where I found the end of the plug. The jumper connector is available for the controller you get.

Mine was hanging loose in the space behind the coin holder. Pulled the coin holder out and had to feel around behind it to find the connector.

Ron-

The Ford Body Builder (Publications) Web site (link here) has useful information for your 2015 E-Series chassis. In particular, the 2015 BBLB ELECTRICAL WIRING document (link here), page 14, shows the location and pinout of the trailer electric brake controller connector. The entire document, up to page 24, is worth your review (in my opinion).

The Tekonsha P3 controller is a popular recommendation. You may be able to install a Ford brake controller. I have no experience with doing that; it may require a trip to a Ford dealer to properly integrate the controller into the truck's CANBUS network.

As "A32Deuce" said, you can get a pigtail to make a Tekonsha controller install plug-and-play. Here is a link to that pigtail on etailer.
