Under dash friction noises

My class c is based on the E450 chassis. Until the interior gets entirely warm or the dash warms in the sun I get a lot of scraping noise from under the dash like Styrofoam rubbing against something. I've had the underdash panel off and worked with the 2 blocks of Styrofoam located under it but that is not the problem. I'm thinking the instrument panel needs to come out and some proper lubricant sprayed in at any mounting points??

Also it is not clear to me how the complete dash comes off. Does anyone have a link to some instructions? It would seem to me it would have come off anyway for any serious engine work so it should be allowed for. Thanks in advance.

A quick search turned up this tidbit. This may not be your problem but it sounds plausible. Scroll down the page about halfway.
