Underhung Sinks

Any experience in replacing top mounted kitchen and/or bath sinks with under mounted models? What did you do about new counter tops and sources?

I would stay with the one on top of the counter. Too many complaints lately of them dropping. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Any cabinet shop can make you new countertops and, if you want them, undermount sinks. Undermounts, if bonded and fastened properly, are not going to come off.

Our 2007 rig with 40,000 miles has an attached (not molded into) under-sink and also an under-stove as shown and the setup has held up perfectly so far. Included are matching Corian covers that store in a pocket behind the stove. We really really like it. We leave the sink cover home since I modified a store-bought reversible cutting board (cut raw meat on one side, bread and vegetables on the other side) to fit into and partially cover the sink, allowing the use of water. The covers (and flip-up counter) immensely increase our work space. We cover the stove when washing dishes. The design offers a nice and flush work surface. So if you are customizing, you might want to consider something like this.
