Using Class C for staying isolated from virus
has anyone moved into their rv to stay isolated for 2 weeks. our class c is in our driveway connected to shore power and could connect to water if necessary. stop mail and newspaper delivery, just use cell phone and tv for communication. I know this sounds extreme but these times require extreme measures. we live in Duchess County NY. new virus patients daily and getting worse.

If you're already at home, isolating, why would you be any more isolated in your motorhome, in your driveway? Got locks on the doors of the house/condo? Sorry, if I don't understand the question. We're in our house, self monitoring and reducing contact with the rest of humanity, and our motorhome is in the driveway, but I don't see the advantages of living/isolating in the motorhome, over the home?

Heck, King county Washington has a fleet of class C's being used as isolation units. If you have a need for it, go for it. But don't bail on a perfectly good house without a reason.

How is your RV more isolated than your house? My class A is parked in the back yard. But my house is more comfortable. All my utilities work and it is well stocked with food, water and entertainment. But do what ever makes you feel more secure.

I'm in a class C and would much rather be in my house in Jersey, but the clowns that live there think this is a farse and are carrying on as usual. I will stay in Southern Alabama. Safer!

Are you isolating yourself from others who live in your house ? If so, that's a great idea.
My son had corona virus and lived in his finished basement until he recovered. His wife and 3 kids stayed upstairs most of the time.
So far, none are showing symptoms but he just recovered. He was sick for 12 days and developed double pneumonia.

If you do a search on what Los Angeles County is doing with Dockweiler RV park, owned by the county, you will see Class Cs parked there, waiting for isolation patients. FYI.

Is the topic different for Class A or any other type of RV?

If your plan is to leave your community in your motorhome to stay in a less threatening part of the country, I advise NOT to. You will have a very hard time finding places to live in your motorhome during these times.
My brother and his wife were in their RV for over a month, left home long before the lock-down. They had to return home because all places are closed for the lock-down. RV parks are considered 10+ people. State and federal controlled campgrounds are all closed. Making matters worse will be your out-of-state license plates.
Don't leave home.
And like others have said, your house is a much safer place than your RV unless you are isolating yourself from a family member who has COVID-19.

You said you could hook up water if needed, but what about sewer and gray water. At some point those are going to have to be dumped - and unless you have a connection at home...you're going to have to move back into the house and leave the tanks full, or go somewhere to dump.
I'm with most of the others - I don't see the logic of leaving your home and moving into a motor home that's a few feet outside the door of your house.
Are we missing something?
EDIT - I just noticed this post is almost two weeks old, so I'm sure CHERV has done what they wanted to do in the first place...or since there was never a reply, it was just a post to provoke a lot of discussion.
Why do people post asking a question, but never acknowledge the responses?

By whom are RV parks considered 10+ people?
What do they consider a mobile home community, an apartment complex or a high-rise condo building? Of the 4, I’d choose the RV park as the best option for safe anti-social distancing practices.
During this “lockdown” I’ve been to the grocery store, home improvement centers, hardware stores, gardening centers, etc. In all cases, there were dozens of other folks doing the same thing. No one was arrested.

I don't know anything about CGs and 10 people, but some states require you to stay a minimum of 14 days, no over night stays. Now if all the states come up with this idea, it will take me over 3 months to get home to Jersey! I will stay in Alabama till this blows over.

My brother and I would not disagree with you. He was sharing that the lock-down rules for RV parks were not making any sense. He heard permanent residents in the RV parks had to leave. He did not stay long enough to see how that turned out.
The point I was making was, just stay home in your brick & mortar house. Trying to find a place to stay away from your house in your RV has some very serious challenges.
