Don't think it's a water filter. Looks like a communication type cable coming out the opposite end and if so, may be a sensor or switch. For what, I have no idea.

Edited to ask: The white behind it,,, is it attached? Is it pvc or flexible tubing, maybe tied into the rig's plumbing.

Hard to tell for sure with a fuzzy picture, the cable is white with writing on it doesn't appear to be anything dealing with water. Most water lines i know of are blue, red or clear. I would say maybe a cable splitter, a sharper image would help

thanks it appears to be some kind of anti valve for the sani t flush sys..
and of course thor put it in a small space between the shower and hall way wall..some others have had it installed backwards other loosee lines.

The cable looks like a coax cable -- CAT5 maybe. But I suppose it could be a white pipe. There's also something coming into or out of the top. It'd be nice to know if it's an inch tall, or a foot, or a yard
