Question What is this?

It's on a Winnebago Chalet...Sometimes a LED # will show in one of the boxes?

It would have helped a GREAT deal if you had posted what year model and type of Winnebago Chalet that you are inquiring about with that dashboard thingy.

Google is your friend.

Winnebago Industries

You need to find a chassis manual for that dash.

It's a 2009 Chalet...it's not stock...there's nothing like it in the manual.

So it has got to be a proximity alarm with sensors mounted on the outside.

Isn't there any name or brand written on it that would give you something to search on the Internet for more information?

Not that I can see...it's held on to the steering column by a strip of Velcro..the cable is routed under the speedometer display. I've googled "blind spot sensor" and "Lane monitor" but can't seem to find anything that looks like it.

Thanks!

Use google to image search "back up sensor kit" You'll see it or one's essentially identical.

Is there any chance you could chase the previous owner down and ask them? Maybe they have a manual or something which may be of use to you.

They left 2 large Winnebago files with all the manuals, etc. (even the original window sticker invoice). But nothing regarding this device. The dealer called them and they said it is a "blind spot" monitor. Funny thibg is I can see no obvious sensors mounted on either side. However when I put it in reverse it does light up LED in the center box and tells me the distance to anything close behind me. I pulled up my car and parked on the left side and it did the same it said 3'. So I guess that's it!
