Smile Driving to Gold Beach, Oregon

Any recommendations for driving into Gold Beach, Oregon from Knoxville, TN in March? If we take I-40 and go through Albuquerque, what's a good way to end up on the coast? We will be in a 36' MH with a toad; what's Hwy 101 like from the California Coast north to Gold Beach. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have taken 101 from north of San Francisco, up into Oregon, well past Gold Beach. With 30' MH and toad. Certainly doable. My passenger said the views were outstanding. I was not able to appreciate the scenery because I had to spend all my time driving. Narrow road, up and down, curves everywhere. But I could still recommend, but in very short driving days. For me, that would be no more than 4 hours per day. Then stay a couple of days to rest. The California and Oregon Pacific coast has many beautiful places to see and visit.

Happy trails.

I'd take I40, then north thru Las Vegas, north to Reno on 395, then work on getting to coast in Northern CA or into OR via I5.

We have taken Hwy 101 from LA to well past Gold's Beach in a 40' with TOAD. No problem.
