HANDYMAN needed for Rio Grande Valley RV and Mobile Home Park. Green Haven Park consists of 17 park-owned furnished mobile homes and 9 RV spaces. After a change implemented by the owner, Green Haven is now managed by one of the residents and we are looking for a handyman to handle maintenance and repairs in the park. You must be a capable of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs as well as maintenance of trees and grass in the park. You are not required to manage any aspects of the park. You just need to be available to mow the grass(not very often in the winter), trim trees, and make repairs to park owned trailers as the arise. Repairs would include replacing a ceiling fan, installing new faucets, replacing a breaker switch, replacing section of floor, installing kitchen vinyl flooring; you get the idea. Not BIG repairs but you need to be a "Jack of All Trades' !
Our park is situated in a quiet country setting 14 miles north of highway 83 in McAllen. Many of our residents are retired and have lived in the park for many years and we only rent RV spaces and the furnished mobile homes to 'Good Folks'. Come and enjoy the fabulous Rio Grande Valley winters here at Green Haven as your duties here at the park will not require tons of time and effort on your part. If you are looking for a quiet RV park with huge Spanish and Southern Oak trees that shade every lot and proximity to McAllen and Mexico then you have found your Winter nesting spot. We have Orange, Grapefruit, and Mexican Lime trees in the park that you can help yourself to the harvest. If you want/need social activities in the Rec Hall with Bingo games and ice cream socials every night then you will not be happy in our park. We are located 2 miles south of the Edinburg Rio Grande Valley airport on highway 281. Use Google Maps Satellite view and you can locate Green Haven Park to take a look.
