ONE opening at Cape Disappointment State Park in SEPT, ONE opening in OCT

Hi all,

The ranger at Cape Disappointment just told me he has ONE vacancy at the Interpretive Center for SEPT (Couple OR Single accepted) and ONE vacancy at the North Head Lighthouse for OCT (Couple). These are volunteer positions so there is no pay, but you do get a full hookup site in an absolutely awesome State Park. Plus you're right next to the rocking town of Astoria, OR (breweries, farmers market, food).

We've been hosting here since July 1st and just love it. If interested please contact:

I'm not sure of the exact hours at the Lewis & Clark center, but at the lighthouse it's typically ~14 hours per week (you work as a couple). The schedule at the lighthouse is 3.5 hr shifts and you work either 3 days on/3 dates off, or 4 days on/4 days off. It's the easiest lighthouse shift we've ever done!

I wrote a blog post about the lighthouse job, so if you're interested you can read more about it here:

I should add that North Head is planned for a major renovation next year (2016) so it may not open for tours next summer. You'll obviously want to check this with the ranger before signing up.
