E have spent the last two summers volunteering at Hagerman National Fish Hatchery in Hagerman Idaho. This is part of the national Fish & Wildlife service. We are going to be in Washington this summer but we were just contacted by Anna at Hagerman asking if we knew anybody that needed a position. The couple they had set up for this summer just canceled on them. This is a 20 hour/wk requested position per person. You can work more if you want (we did). You get full hook up ( two 30 amp sites) but they only have one couple usually so you can use both pedestals as we did and have plenty of power. Beautiful shaded location (you might need a portable satalite) and Verizon is spotty and Att non existant. Primary duty is to provide guided tours for visitors including school groups. Other duties can includes Visiting and keeping picked up around the fishing lake, keeping brochures stocked, depending on your interests and abilities you can help with the steelhead, feeding, mort picking, etc. mowing lawns (riding mowers), servicing fire extinguishers, repairing signs, painting facilities, repairing/constructing equipment. Very interesting people to work with and hours are pretty flexible except for the scheduled tours. They have had a $20/day stipend per person for each 5 hour day worked.
