Work camping (or seasonal work) at Disney World

We are considering applying for a seasonal job at Disney World this winter and are finding their website a bit confusing. Has anyone worked there that can give us information on the best way to get information w/specifics about the jobs that are available (the website seems a bit general). Any insight would be helpful. Thank you!

Can't help you with specifics since we are on the road but one of my grandsons and my son in law are both Cast Members. They both applied online and then received an interview quickly.

What I can tell you is that we have met plenty of Rvers that are Cast Members and they love the part time thing.

I don't understand the question. They have over 50 thousand cast members. From sweeping floors to high tech.

While we don't work at Disney, many of our winter friends and neighbors do.

Last we've heard is that they are no longer hiring seasonal workers. They want year around employees whether full or part time. Some long time seasonal workers may be grandfathered in.

Really?!? That's more absurd than Walmart calling employees "associates". How can people talk like that with a straight face?

We stay at The Fort for the winter. For eight years I worked seasonally (much more fun than not working), but they decided to eliminate 7,000 seasonal cast members; I was one. There are still some working, but not many and the jobs they post are not desirable. Their pay is very low but the perks are great. I always have my feelers out for an opportunity.

Employees at both WDW and Disneyland have been known as "Cast Members" or simply "Cast" since day one back in the 1950's. It is an apt term and the vast majority of those who work at the two parks seem to like it.
