I saw something very useful on “ Going with the Wynns”, put clothes with detergent in a plastic storage container. Put it in the shower with lid on. When driving, the bouncing up and down agitates and washes the clothes, drain, put rinse water in and repeat.

Sounds to me a small price to stay clean. There are laundry mats everywhere so there must be a lot of people with there problem.

Because I’m guessing not all stores clean the donated clothes and such.
I would not want to try on clothes, let alone buy clothes, that were not washed when donated and then selling to others as I t’s just not cool to do that.
One can put them in a covered Rubbermaid type of tight covered tub with laundry soap and let it agitate while driving and then do it again to rinse them out. Then hang them up to dry. At least then an effort to donate clean items was made, just in case others didn’t have the option to wash them before having to wear them. Pay it forward

DW, said no washer. She wanted the room and spend all day with a small washer/dryer. We had a camper of some sort for years We Save all our quarters.

Normaly we do wash ever 7-10 days. She loads up all the machines she needs and uses 3-4 dryer. I'm thinking 1.5 - 2 hours all is done. She will get it started and I normaly go to the grocery store.

But you sure go through the quarters. Before we leave for a trip we have 40-50 dollars of quarters and many times we run out.

The people who promote this idea must drive really really really aggressively for this to work. We leave water in a dog bowl on the floor, and never spill a drop after driving all day.

I was wondering about that too. Can’t see there being much agitation if my coffee cup doesn’t slosh.

Back before we got a rig with a washer/dryer, when we'd have to do laundry, I'd break out the metal detector, go to the local park or playground, and in an hour or so, I'd have $20.00 in change. I enjoy the metal detecting, and we never paid for laundry out of pocket. Then we bought a Class A that already had a Splendide vented model . . . never looked back. Toss the dirty in every two days or so, turn on and forget. Doesn't matter how long it takes, and how small the capacity, and we really don't need the extra space. The coach has more space than we could possibly reasonably use anyway, at least without hauling around a lot of junque we'd never use anyway.

Now we bought a boat, that already has a W/D as well. We may update to a newer model, but do without? NEVER!

Oh, and I still metal detect, cashed in two years of traveling worth of metal detecting a few months ago, $746.00, and it was enjoyable to do the detecting too! And that doesn't include the $400.00 plus Turquoise pendant, the cell phones (one of which still worked, and was returned to the owner), the rings, etc, etc, etc,

Agreed, we do the same
