Harvest Hosts

Hello! I was just reading up on different ways to RV on a budget and I was wondering if anyone knew much about Harvest Hosts and how to go about finding them. I read about them at RV Dealer in Pennsylvania and I do believe it would be nice to visit some of the places described such as farms and attractions. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

This is the only info that I have on them. I have not tried them nor do I know of anyone that has but here is the info that I do have - Free Camping with Harvest Hosts at Wineries, Farms and Orchards

Thanks! the map on their page has plenty of locations. I'll definitely have to explore some out here in Florida. I was surprised at the number of locations in their netowrk.

we stayed at a vineyard in LA. Family was fabulous and gave us a tour and explained all the inner workings. We ended up staying in the area for 2 months so we went back and helped trim vines and plant new seedlings. All around great wine...I mean experience.

Are you member of HarvestHosts? or did you just happen upon this vineyard? Was it in Los Angeles or Louisiana?

Hi Lenmar,
Yes - we were members of Harvest Host and saw a Vineyard listed in West Monroe, LA so we went there.
We had just finished working at Amazon in Kansas and wanted to head south to get warm!
Super nice family and people! As we said, we worked there on some Saturday's helping with the pruning, etc. It is Landry Vineyards. They even host concerts there on some Saturdays! Please stop in and say hi to them if you are ever in the area!
Great experience and really nice family!
