My observation above is more and more people everywhere leave their vehicles at the pump to shop.

89-90% of truckers are workers, hourly or otherwise. Not business people or independents that own or lease their units.

My observation stands owner operators are businesspeople workers are often paid by the mile or by time on the road. The big trucking companies have GPS monitoring in the rigs and time on the road is strictly monitored with mandatory rest. NO professional driver has the time or the inclination to intentionally mess with others.
