We use the RV tp. I get some for free from a neighbor and some we buy. The stuff I buy is not that much more expensive.

I have friend that is the engineer type he's done the shake the tp in a bottle of water and said there is no diffrent with any single ply.

Charmin Ultra Soft works great. No clogs.
Every now and then I'll do the dish soap and some Calgon water softener.
The ice cube thing doesn't work either.

I've always wondered about that test. I saw a video of what a half full water tank looks like when driving down the road. The water sure does NOT agitate like shaking a bottle. The water and other stuff just sits there gently swaying if moving at all.

In any case, we have been using "Don't squeeze the Charmin" type of TP for decades and decades, in everything from Pop Ups, to travel trailers to motorhomes, and so far no problems. I swear, if I switch to a single ply RV toilet paper I would have a revolt on my hands and all of the females would just stomp their feet and stay home................. Now that gives me a great idea!

water water water its a holding tank not a septic system you realy dont want to put chemicals in that break down waste that just makes it stick to the sides any paper i even use flushable wipes but thats me

We've been using Scott's 1000, Angel Soft and Walmart brand. Use only septic safe, single or double ply.

Sam’s Clubs “POM” in a case, it’s single ply and cheap. A case will supply you into the next century.

Single ply is barbaric!!!

We use whatever is in the house. Never had a problem. Every package of TP has the statement that it is safe for septic systems. No need to buy anything special.
Key is water....

We home base in a resort that has both park model homes and lots of Class A motorhomes and large fifth wheels.

Last week one of the residents in a fifth wheel started seeing leaks in their sewer line (the stinky slinky), which then turned into a backup in their RV!!! A plumber came out and unclogged the sewer line below the ground, and found tons of "flushable" wipes clogging the line. Others had seen slowdowns as well, and I've seen the same plumber on the same street unclogging more lines.

"Flushable" wipes are one of the top causes of clogged sewer mains...they do not disintegrate like toilet paper. Some local and state governments have started to ban them, as the wipes clog main lines as well as pumping/procesing equipment. Many videos of crews cleaning NYC and other systems.

These wipes may not clog *your* RV system, but they often cause large issues downstream (which may "come back your way").

This old thread is about the results of a 9yr old girls school science project. She chose TP breakdown rates.
The bottom line of that childs test is, if you dump your tanks every hour Charmin does not break down.

We have used Charmin Ultra-Soft in the RV and the house for nearly 30 years without a problem.
The trick is to always use plenty of flushing water each flush, everything covered with water cannot harden.

I have been using Sam's Club Member Marks brand for years with no issues. I did the water test with this and with Scott's RV and the results were the same.

We are full time, and we use the Sam's Club Member Mark. We use plenty of water when we flush, and generally dump every 4th day.

In our old rig, Laredo, we had one issue where we ended having a blockage. The problem started with a leaking dump valve. That resulted in not having enough water to dump. In the Laredo we were seasonals and went down over the weekends.

We use Scotts Rapid Disolving. It does exactly what it says it does! We buy in bulk which makes it a little cheaper in the long run. It's always good to have some on hand for spontaneous RV trips! I've never had any clogging issues with Scotts.
