VA State Parks has a limited time offer of 25% discount gift certificates for camping and cabins. We typically purchase a dollar amount to cover a week of camping for the upcoming year. This year the purchase deadline is 12/20/18.

If you have a handicap tag/hangy from any state VA will give you 50% off VA state park fees including camping. You apply and they will issue a control # and mail you the hang tag. Have to make SP reservations with the state, NOT ReservAmerica to get the discount rate. Works for us.

My search indicates this is available for disabled veterans. You can get a free disability pass for free entrance and parking though.

If I am missing something or incorrect, please let me know. I just could not find anything about this on their DCR webpage.

You are correct. I am a disabled veteran. The pass issued is a Lifetime Veteran Disability State Park card and hang tag. Must show both when entering. When making reservation with DCR have to give them my ID # for 50% discount on camping, rental equipment, swimming, picnic shelter rental and FREE park entry and parking.
