We stopped full-timing at 74 yr. of age due to medical reasons after 16 years of constant travel. It was the saddest day of our lives and we miss it terribly.

I retired two months shy of 50...4 yrs later SHE retired three months shy of 50

One year later we hit the road fulltime traveling weekly/bi-weekly

Seven years of 'wonderlust'
Life threw a curve ball so we had to take a swing at a new phase in life

Still miss the FT adventure but Life goes on and we make the best of it.

75 - 69 both retired March 2012
First 2-3 years (vacation mode)
Traveled most of the time in the summer
6 months winter in Florida.

Past 7 years (enjoying our life mode)
6 months summer in Northern NYS
4 months winter in Florida.
"Migrating" between sites April & November. We try to take a slightly different route each trip avoiding interstates and larger cities while checking out potential "permanent landing spots" for the future. (VA, TN, NC, SC, GA)

I have to say that so far I'm encouraged by the ages of some of you folks out there. If I may, let me add a wrinkle and ask how you maintain the physical capacity you need to live a full time life? Diet, exercise, prayer, whatever you feel keeps you able to live this life is of interest.

We volunteered in public parks a lot which help to keep our minds working... I think. Gave lighthouse tours and hosting. Volunteered on Lake Powell with a park boat cleaning the shoreline. Volunteered at fish hatcheries. Volunteered on a 10,000 acre ranch in Oregon. Gave cave tours.

Lots of hiking including down the Bright Angel Trail to catch the raft for a 9 night trip. Many day hikes up to 10 mi. rd. trip in high elevations. Loved the West!

Pickleball, tennis and 4-wheeling

I'm wondering how many of the responders are actually full time travelers, and how many are parked permanently in a park somewhere? I find a lot of so called full time RVers are parked somewhere almost ALL the time. To me that don't count. Just my opinion.
