We have never had a problem using Ally for years. I use My Home Address in Emery, but I dont think that Makes any difference. I do use #1234 tho.

We recently set up our Americas Mailbox address and we use Ally Bank. The issue with (any) bank / financial organization isn’t with the Mailing address… it is with the Home address. Because of the Patriot Act, all financial institutions are required to have a Physical Address on file to open / maintain an account. But the mailing address can be a PMB, PO Box, etc. I have the ‘home’ or physical address on my account as one of my children’s address… and the mailing address as my PMB. Did the same thing on all my credit / bank / investment accounts. I've also made sure to sign up for email delivery of all docs to minimize what they mail. But you will get some mail... just because they always send things when you do a change of address.

Haven’t had any issues so far.

Ally was the one and only institution that had an issue with our address when we went full time. We use Escapees for mail forwarding so our address is their campground in Bushnell, FL. Apparently, Ally Google Earthed the address, saw it was a campground and let us know it was unacceptable. We ended up using the Livingston, TX mail forwarding address with them even though we are not TX residents. I guess the Livingston location looks more like a mobile home park than a campground.

Just to clarify how this address thing works with financial institutions:

They don't Google Earth anything.

The post office has data that shows which addresses are businesses and which are Mail Forwarding, Mail Drops and Private PO Boxes and which are residential.

While using "Lot" or "Apt" MAY help in some situations the base address will still show up as a mail forwarding service.

This is available to all financial institutions via computer/internet and is often run through Credit Reporting agencies. And often if you have a mail forwarding address this will show up on your credit report and MAY I repeat MAY be flagged as a negative or a

possible security problem.

If you have a background check done or apply for a new mortgage with that mail forwarding address it will also be found and checked...No Matter how you try to cover it up.

Some financial institutions care about a non permanent address and some do not.

Ally, as the finance company for my truck, but not my bank had no problem with my mail forwarding address in SD. However AMEX did despite me being a member since 1983.

I just used the address of the brother of my best friend Mary who I travel with.

Result: no problem.

We've used Fidelity, Vanguard, Bank of America and Wells Fargo with our Escapees Texas address. No issues.
