Americas mail box and Ally Bank

Does anyone use Ally bank and have Americas Mailbox as their address?

Any problems?

I don't use Ally bank, but I do use Americas Mailbox. I use Chase bank and haven't had any problems relating to the address at all. I just called them and updated my address to 514 America's Way #*****, Box Elder, SD, 57719-7600. Obviously the ***** is substituted for my actual PMB number, which doesn't need to be given out here. I didn't get into the fact that it's a mail forwarding place, or I'm never actually there, or that I'm a full time RVer, or anything like that. I just treated it like an apartment number.

I don't see why Ally bank would be any different. Just tell them you need to update your address to 514 America's Way #whatever.

Yes, I use Ally Bank and Americas Mailbox as my mail forwarding address. I'm a full time RVer. I put the lot number or box number as an Apt XXXX. I have no problem receiving my mail. I think Americas Mailbox says to do that if they won't accept the (#) sign.

So did you have to stay at their campground to establish residency in sd.

Just have to stay one night at any campground or hotel/motel in SD. Take the receipt with your name/s to the DMV.

Yep, it's very easy to set up residency in South Dakota. Took me a few hours one morning and I was officially a South Dakota resident.

I'm currently in an endless loop with ally over my SBI address. I'm at my wits end with them. Once my house sells, I may just pull all my money out and go elsewhere. They have called me four times about my new address and I'm still not sure it's corrected.

What address did you give them?
Did you substitute the word apartment or lot for #?

Or did you use #1234?

What are their concerns?

Did you open the account with the address or change your address after you opened the account?

Your input is appreciated.

If all else fails, call the bank and tell them your address. Let them update your new address. I think I had to do that with one organization.

We had the same problem with Ally. We'd think it was corrected and then the calls would start again. After two rounds of this we pulled our funds and moved them to Discover Bank. Similar rates without the Ally hassle.

I don't recall which one. It wasn't a big deal. I haven't had any problems with Ally, credit cards, Amazon, insurance, finance companies, etc.
