Dental Work in Los Algodones Mexico
I am facing major dental work, US estimates are upward of $22,000. Looking for experiences of individuals that have Dental work done there, Reviews, recommendations. I did a search on IRV2 and found some older comments, but couldn't find anything that was recent.
Also read several rv's blogs, but then again the information seemed dated.
Would appreciate any responses,
Thank You

I know you can't easily drive you RV to Costa Rica, but have you looked and considered it? There is considerable dental/medical tourism to CR. Certified and trained US dentists/doctors. I looked into it a couple of years back (I have a friend who has a business there who provided recommendations) .. cost for lodging and procedures was about 30% of U.S.A. costs.. even adding in airfare. They have packages that include nurses to check on you, lodging, meals, the procedures,.. and some tourist type side trips... airfare is less than diesel. I was looking at a number of dental implants. If you are interested, I'm sure I can find the referral info, just PM me. My major concern was .. if I had the implants there and then something went bad after I returned to the USA, what would I do.. then it would get expensive either here or if I had to return.

Here's an excellent write up. Note there are Parts 1 & 2:

We've had crowns done but sorry, can't recall the dentist. Excellent work and price.

From all I've read from numerous folks, I would do it with no concerns. Look up some threads and use a doctor that folks recommend. I will do the same next year...

My brother in law had a bunch of dental work done in Los Algodones. I'll send via PM. He was very impressed with the work and cost.

My wife and I had a lot of work done this Spring and highly recommend it. Camp in Yuma, park at the border and walk across. Great prescription prices too

We haven't personally had any work done but, many of our snowbird friends have the same glowing reviews of the services provided. In Los Algodones Mexico proper they've had a full array of procedures done. Fillings, crowns, implants all with very good results and minimal discomfort. With the $22K you're quoting I'd est., something in the $8.5K range there.
Best of luck with your travels.

I have had dental work done many times in Los Algadones. I would recommend Castle Dental. I have had comfortable, professional, affordable experiences there. Call their USA phone # to make an appointment. Usually Castle wants cash for the first visit, check or charge card after that.
