I have an Onan 12.5, I can turn on both electric elements in the AquaHot, and both floor heat pads. Or, if not too cold all three 15Kw heat pumps.

Wundertaker,

You do realize that lots of heavy duty equipment on farms/construction sites sit for months at a time, right?

We don’t spend nights in hotel when having service/repairs done- just plug in at shop and spend the night, then go do things during the day.

Never understood why 5th wheel owners go out of their way to complain about MHs?

Or wait for power to go out! Had that happen quite often the past few years do to high temperatures in PNW!

Do you exercise the MH when planted for months?

If you have a guy with an F350 next to you that 'warms' his PU up for 30 minutes or more each morning, you won't hear it either!

Well, I know when I sit still for 3 or 4 months, I don't work like I'm suppose to. I've learned that exercise is a good idea and I always feel better. My doctor also agrees. So I guess the same would apply to our MH. It's good to get stuff moving.

My 2 cents.

If running engines, be they diesel, gas, genny, or otherwise sincerely bother you, then maybe you should consider these two options...

First, perhaps you should quit RVing altogether because the previous sentence is pretty much synonymous with today's style of "roughing it" and if those things irritate you, me thinks you'll be upset most of time thereby defeating the main reason why most of us do this in the first place.

Secondly, maybe search out the most desolate BLM areas you can find where other folks noise makers are nowhere to be found, hence no annoying engines to irritate the senses and disturb your inner piece and tranquility.

How long are you planning on staying? Better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Staying until 2/1. I heard another genny running yesterday. I think that really it is the parks “policy” just to keep a handle on it. Kinda like the Parks in Canada “banning” alcohol on holiday weekends.

Thanks for the update on the other genny. Good to know and seems to indicate that, within reason, probably not a problem to exercise. Also seems to indicate that it's better not to ask

You'd need to go back to the OP to understand. Had nothing to do with being bothered. It was CG policy.

I pick a cool day when most people have their windows and doors closed and run the gen around 3:00 when no one is normally in bed. I run it once a month for 25 minutes and have the heat pumps on or A/C. I do not ask permission and have never had a problem. Most places state no generators and if you ask a worker they have to say NO but if no one complains then there is no issue. jmo mark
