I'm a little confused about changing domicile for full timers. I hope some of you can clear up some questions.

1. Do you have to go to South Dakota every year to re-register your vehicle(s)? Or do you only have to be there the first time and then re-register on-line after that?

How about Texas?

2. The same questions as above but for Driver's license?

3. I assume that, if I'm an official new resident of a state with no sales tax, I could save a bunch of money when it comes time to purchase a new motorhome no mater where I buy it. Any comments or advice on this?

4. If I workamp in Florida and have set up my new domicile in either TX or SD do I pay FL state income tax? Oops, maybe Florida is not a good example - I don't know if they have a state income tax. Let's say I work in California.

5. Does anyone publish a book or other type of information on all this stuff?

6. Can anyone provide links to mail forwarding companies in S. Dakota? I understand there are a few of them and that they also provide other services for full time RVers. I'm familiar with Escapees in Livingston, TX but I don't know much about S. Dakota.

Thank you in advance for any info. you can provide.

Bald Eagle, I believe South Dakota is the state of choice. You sign up with Alternative Resources and then disappear into vaporville.

Check with Alter.Res. for sure but I think it's a one time only registration. We have people on IRV2 who have done this.
