Full time fifth wheel

We are shopping for a fifth wheel that will be good for full timing. We like boondocking and getting into small places so don't want anything over about 31 feet. Any suggestions on Brands or models? We prefer a rear living area and two slides.

The best 5th full time shorter 5th wheels were built by NuWa and Excel. Both manufacturers have a 31' model.

Fyi - NuWa is now out of business but in a used unit that does not matter.

I second Excel and NuWa aka Hitchhiker. Those are the brands I was looking at before I decided to get a MH. It's going to be tough on your budget and age restriction though.

Forgot to mention that even in the NuWa Hitchhiker 29.5 model which will be 31' long you will get 3 slides which makes these units much more liveable.

Excel I think had the same idea. Short with 3 slides.

I have a friend that stays in his short NuWa 5 months a year as a snow bird. I have been in it many many times. It has a very solid feel to everything and is easy to heat with just 1 electric heater. His NuWa is a 2004 model.

For 30k I would look for a 2007 thru 2009 model.
