Full time in the spring

It looks time my time line will put me full time in the spring. My plans are to stay mostly in VA NC SC TN KY. I have been reading a lot of post here and looking at different rigs. In addition to all the recommendations I see here, I am taking it one step farther and including the terrain that I plan to be camping into my rig selection. Because of the terrain, I have decided to have more truck than actually needed normally. Most decisions have already been made. Still just looking at different campers for that one is perfect for me and my budget.

One can not go wrong with more truck than needed......allows for safer towing due to not being at/over weight limits. Besides NEXT trailer can be bigger

And there will be another one.

Howdy and welcome Alvint!

Sounds like maybe you are going to be finding some good boondocking sites! Something like this type of rig perhaps???

Actually what I am planning is a 3/4 ton truck and about a 25 foot fifth wheel. I like the open floor plans and just one bedroom. Its just me and my three little dogs. So I don't need a super sized trailer or a bunkhouse. A 3/4 ton will have plenty pulling and stopping power through the blue ridge mountains. That size will also allow me to go to a lot of state and national parks that have size restrictions

Sounds like a good plan. I'm somewhat like you - finding an "open" floor plan is a bit difficult. I've considered removing the door from my bedroom and lavatory a few times for the same reason (just me). Can't bring myself to do it though as I have no place to store them and don't want to toss in the garbage.
