Question Full-Timers Insurance...

Well, my wife and I are closing in on our first full year of Full Timing. We are at the point of needing to change our Truck and Fiver Insurance to a new company plus personal items of course. We DO NOT have a home to insure as we sold it last year. I'm looking for a good company that will insure true Full-Timers.

Any good suggestions would be app!!! Thank you...

Both my truck and Fulltimer coverage for my camper are through Progressive. I used a broker to price shop: Miller Insurance Agency

Since I don't live in the trailer 24/7/365, I told Progressive I'm not a full timer. I think that makes a difference.

Well if the 5er is your primary residence you are a full timer and many insurance company will not insure as such.

We were directed to Foremost insurance by Met Life, who we were insured through.
Insuring full time is like insuring a home, there is insurance on the trailer as a structure. Then there is contents and Liability coverage just like a home.
When you are not full time, your contents and liability are covered by a home owners policy.
Misleading the insurance company could be reason to deny a claim.

I used Geico when I was full time. The only downside is they don’t offer roadside assistance on my dually in MD.

When I first got the policy, I asked what they meant when they asked me if I was using the trailer full time. My use didn't meet their definition. I didn't mislead anyone, and I hope I wasn't mislead.

My question is directed to "true Full-Timers only"! Not looking to mislead anyone as when you "need your insurance....you NEED it"!!! Hence the reason I posted my question under "full-timers". Thank you...

Oh, I guess I'm not a "true full timer". I apologize.

My insurance (The Hartford) goes by the number of nights you used the rig each year.

We are fulltimers with no S&B. National General coverage includes homeowners, gen liability, rv, and tow. We chose to use an agent (Dougherty Insurance Agency) but Good Sam also offers National General.

As others mentioned, we went through Miller who is an insurance broker and deals with several brokers.

For the past two years, we have Progressive policies on our motorhome and car.

Also, you'll need "umbrella" liability insurance. We have a $1M RLI policy we got through Miller.

Suggest you get quotes from Miller and also FMCA RV Insurance.

I got quotes from both last year and it cut my insurance bill in half.

Go through Miller Insurance (link given above by learntorv). They'll shop around to get you the best and they are very familiar with full-timers.
