Full-timers Who Travel & Netflix

This question is only for those who travel full-time as they do not have a permanent address (other than for mail, etc).

I am about to go out full time again and am wondering how you are able to get around the new Netflix rule that you must log into your "home address" every 30 days to continue to have it.

I even called them and all I got back was that I could use it when I travel, I just have to check into my "home address".

It was a very irritating call. She either did not comprehend that I would no longer have a permanent address or Netflix has nothing in place for our lifestyle.

I told her that there are over a million full-time RVers and Netflix better figure this out to keep us as customers.

So for anyone who has a work-around, I would love to hear it!!

Just use your mail forwarding address. Escapees gives you a street address; not a Box #.

Is that for some sort of "live" local or sports programming? That requirement for those sorts of programming is common on streaming services.

You are now required to be at your "home address" for 12 hours every 30 days. That is not workable.

No, Netflix does not have live TV and this is brand new rules to stop account sharing, which they actively encouraged since their streaming service began. However, for a full time RVer (no home address to visit every 30 days) this presents a problem.

No other streaming service that I have requires this-- only Netflix.

From this, if you are logging on from the same devise or network, that is your home network. Notice its devise or network. So even though you are moving around, you are using the same devise. DR

On the phone call, with Netflix, they said that you must have a primary, fixed, location. You can travel using Netflix only if you go back to the primary location once every 31 days.

This article pretty much covers what she said. Netflix is doing this to stop password sharing. I am paying for Netflix, I will no longer have a Stix & Brix location so my IP address is going to change, with each new location.

Could you use a VPN service to use an ip address from your registered location? That way no matter where you are, the VPN would always show the same location. Just a thought.
