Glad I was inside the coach when...

It was snowing with winds gusting in Anacortes, WA. The wife took one of our dogs out to potty, while I just got back with the other. My guy is an American Bull, hers a Shnorkie. Instead of simply opening the door, she knocked. I opened the door and asked her why. She said the paddle handle just flapped loosely, not engaging. To my disappointment, she was right.
It was broken internally.
Now, does anyone know where I can get a replacement entry door kit for this 2005 Fleetwood Excursion 39C? It is a striker bolt and catching unit, not a cylinder with strike plate. Have only seen cylinder types. Can I add a striker plate, remove the existing striker bolt after drilling the opening in door to accommodate the cylinder? Anyone out there ever do this successfully? Please weigh in.
Thanks
We're having to keep one of us inside at all times to let the other in. Not good.

Have you tried giving some RV supply places near you a call?

Try here to see if they have a direct replacement for your door lock.

Thank for the link to Northwest RV Supply. Did not even know they existed.
Looks like a great resource.
