There could be a 1,000 suggestions and none might be really good for you. Much will depend on what State/County you will domicile in. We have friends who are FTers and Florida residents. They have Florida Health care and don't pay co-pays and one couple even gets their medicare reimbursed each month. They travel during the summer and can get medical in any State.

When we went full time five years, (not really full time as we store coach for a few months each summer while living with our kids) we moved our domicile to Florida to access their excellent HC plans. We had Florida Blue for three years and paid nothing. Our PPO plan covered us anywhere we went, not a in-network plan.

Type in 'medical insurance' in the small Search box at the top of the screen and many posts appear. Here is one:

Check out a blue cross Medicare supplemental. Medicare accepted nation wide, supplemental should cover what Medicare copays and deductibles.

You're easy - you will be on Medicare. Only question will be what type of Supplemental Insurance to cover the 20% that Medicare doesn't pay you want to get. Most full timers find that a Medicare Part C plan (Medicare Advantage) doesn't work for them because of the restrictions as to areas they cover, etc. Currently a Part G Supplemental is the way a lot of people go.

It is better to seek instructions from your locality because it will vary according to the state or country in which you are living. Others can give you lots of suggestions, including me, but that may not be helpful to you.

Suggest you look at ACA plans in one of the following states: AK, AL, AR, CA, FL, ND, or WY.

I believe there are Anthem/Blue Cross/Blue Shield nationwide ACA health plans in each of these states.

This. We've had no problems with BCBS.

I'm not a huge fan of big chains but will admit, having my prescriptions on file at Walgreen's has been pretty slick, you can transfer them around the country with one phone call.

Access to medical care is one consideration in establishing domicile imo. Kind of hard to miss in Florida, where we "live" (that's my story and I'm sticking to it). So I have an address, a doctor, and a pharmacy all within the same geographic area.

We initially went through St Brendan's Isle to establish residency, that would have "located" us right outside of Jacksonville with access to the Mayo health system, which has advantages for us I think
