Go bigger

We started in a 2021 26' class C and were stuffed like a can of sardines. After 6-months of full-timing we knew what we wanted. Found a 2011 40' Newmar that checked all the boxes for us. Full size residential fridge, stacked washer and dryer, king size bed and oasis system. No comparison in quality and comfort.

My wife and I are considering many options for our beginning adventure into full time RV'ing.

What comes to your mind when full timing in a large vehicle? You really have that much trouble finding parking? I'm not afraid to boondock it if I have to for a night or 2 in a pinch.
Okay Phattwoohie, your thread has gone for 9 pages, you have heard from a handful of us full time travelers, several "used to be" full timers, a ton of part time RVers, and even a moderator!

What are you leaning towards? Just staying in your sticknbrick?

You validate the advice I have given often on this forum. Buy bigger than you think you need; “too big” lasts about a month, but “too small” lasts forever.

About six months ago we picked up our stacker and did a trip around Arizona, stayed at a couple of state parks, did some boondocking and also stayed at a couple of rv parks.
We are now just finishing a six week trip of the Midwest, only boondocked a couple of nights. Yes it’s way better to plan ahead but not always necessary, we were able to get into Elk horn ridge rv resort in Spearfish SD with only two day notice. They were full during Sturgis but emptied out after.
We are 75 long and like to get 100 foot sites so we have parking. It’s really nice to have storage and to bring along your toys. This is our first rv and we are glad we went big!
