It's our turn...

We sold our home and close in 8 days. All our furniture is gone, either sold or given away to family and neighbors. Mail forwarded and registration and licenses renewed for the year. MH checked by our mechanic and given a clean bill of health for extended travel.
We will be starting our slow trek south and then west to visit kids/grandchildren on our way to become winter texan's.
Here we come Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana and the RGV of Texas.
Were a little apprehensive but also excited to turn another page in our book of life!
We would like to thank everyone for all the info. you have made available to us to make this trip possible! Hope to see some of you in our travels!

I'm in the process of downsizing now, hopefully by next year I can get it done.

Congratulations!!!

I'm so happy to see someone do this!!

We went over all our financial numbers today to ensure everything was in place and are getting everything in order to do exactly this! I literally am losing sleep thinking about our plans.

Happy and safe travels and I am so happy for you!!

And, as you noted, this place rocks for information and advice!!

Welcome to the next great adventure of your life. Remember, the journey is important not just the destination. It is ok not to know exactly where you are going, or what road to take. Point in a general direction and see where it leads you.

We are a few months behind you. While some of the things we are finding after nearly 50 years together are hard to part with, we are finding that it is a freeing experience. We remember all too well having to go through things when our parents died and that has helped. If the kids do not want it now, they won't want it after we are gone, so out it goes.

Congratulations!

We're a month behind you. Closing on our house in in another month or two and then we hit the road full time. Apprehensive but excited. Going to take it day by day.
